Abuse
Report a mailby.app address that is being misused.
Mailby is receive-only. If an address on our domain is part of phishing, malware, fraud, or harassment, send a report. We would rather block one inbox than read a novel.
Email abuse@mailby.appOr use the contact form, topic Abuse
- 1
The address
The full recipient, such as the name@mailby.app that received or sent the problem into our system.
- 2
When
The date and time in UTC, as close as you have it. An hour window is enough.
- 3
What happened
One short paragraph: phishing, malware, fraud, harassment, or an attempt to relay. Name the service that was targeted if you can.
- 4
How to reach you
A real email we can reply to. We do not open a Mailby inbox to answer an abuse report.
Include
What helps
A redacted screenshot or the message-id header is useful. The full body is not, unless we reply and ask for it. Do not forward live malware. Do not include passwords, one-time codes, or card numbers from the message.
Then
What we do with a report
We match the address to a live inbox if one still exists, stop it from receiving, and keep the minimum record needed to see whether the same pattern returns. If the inbox has already expired, the message may already be gone. We still record the address hash and the report so a repeat can be blocked.
We do not relay the abusive mail to another host. We are not the sender. If you need a host to stop a campaign, write to that host as well. If a court or a law-enforcement process arrives while we still have the data, we respond to the valid process. The rules for that are on the privacy page and the acceptable use page.
